Buffalo Spree Magazine

The only city and regional periodical for Western New York, Buffalo Spree Magazine seeks to inform and entertain readers with a multi-faceted approach to covering local culture.
AIA Buffalo/WNY commends Buffalo Spree Magazine for its outstanding service on behalf of the built environment by promoting regional architecture and practicing architects as both significant area assets and timely news-makers.
A staunch supporter of the built environment, Editor Elizabeth Licata is an active member of the Allentown Association and of the Buffalo Garden Walk, serving as the editor of Garden Walk Buffalo, presenting the best of the largest and one of the oldest garden walks in the nation.
Architectural critic Barry Muskat, who attended the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Architecture and Planning, regularly covers issues relevant to the architectural community.
A few highlights of Buffalo Spree efforts showcasing architecture are: an article on Sarah Susanka (a guest speaker at the AIA Buffalo/WNY 2005 Home Show Event); an entire issue dedicated to Architecture (July-August 2006); a feature on the relationship between modern and new modern dance, painting and architecture; a profile of the AIA Buffalo/WNY President; a piece on architecture and tourism; an upcoming article on the AIA Buffalo/WNY Architecture + Education Program; and the creation of the semi-annual Buffalo Spree Home Magazine.
