Joy Kuebler, RLA, ASLA
As founding principal of Joy Kuebler, Landscape Architect PC, Ms. Kuebler is realizing her vision for a practice that is “just as committed to enjoying work as to doing important work.” Her professional passion and enthusiasm for design excellence has earned her admiration from project team members, has endeared her to clients and resulted in inspiring environments.
AIA Buffalo/WNY recognizes Joy Kuebler for her exemplary dedication to cultivating the highest, most consistent and supportive professional relationship with the architectural community. An advocate of the greening of Western New York, Ms. Kuebler is active in numerous outreach efforts with neighborhood parks and gardens. She also serves as Secretary for the American Society of Landscape Architects Upstate New York Chapter and as the Vice Chairperson for the North Tonawanda Planning Board. Ms. Kuebler has also participated in the AIA Buffalo/WNY’s Architecture + Education Program, working with 3rd graders at the Discovery School to design learning gardens.
Joy Kuebler is the recipient of several professional honors, including Buffalo Business First 40 under Forty Award in 2007, Canisius College Women’s Business Center Entrepreneur of the Year, the American Society of Landscape Architects New York Upstate Chapter Merit Award for Buffalo Public School 90, Building Construction Review Top 50 Built Projects in Upstate New York for the Eastwood Place Dormitory at Canisius College, Villa Maria College Distinguished Alumni Award, the American Institute of Architects New York State Chapter Winner for the Montante Cultural Center at Canisius College, the American Planning Association New York State Upstate Chapter Award Winner for the Buffalo River Greenway Study.
