AIA Buffalo/WNY

About

The American Institute of Architects has been the leading professional membership association for licensed architects, emerging professionals, and allied partners since 1857. The AIA serves as the voice of the architecture profession and a resource for our members in service to society. The organization carries out its goal through advocacy, information, and community. Each year the AIA sponsors hundreds of continuing education experiences to help architects maintain their licensure. It also sets the industry standard in contract documents with more than 100 forms and contracts used in the design and construction industry.

AIA Buffalo/WNY is a local chapter as part of AIA New York State and AIA National. We service architects and allied members in the five counties in Western New York: Cattaraugus, Chautauqua, Erie, Genesee, Niagara, Orleans and Wyoming.

What started as 13 architects in a New York office in 1857 has grown to become the largest, most influential network of architects and design professionals. Our 100,000+ global member community shares a passion for design, a desire to change the world, and a commitment to the highest standards of practice.

We are part of the 13 local chapters in New York State including AIA Bronx, AIA Brooklyn, AIA Central New York, AIA Eastern New York, AIA Long Island, AIA New York, AIA Peconic, AIA Queens, AIA Rochester, AIA Southern New York, AIA Staten Island, and AIA Westchester Hudson Valley..
