This half-day seminar consists of four individual presentations:
12:00 - Brad Farris, with Tremco: “Maintaining Building Envelope Integrity” is a review of water entry points in the building envelope and provides a basic review of often overlooked area including coping joints, porous/deteriorated masonry walls, thru-wall construction, wall louvers, window & door openings and HVAC entry points.
1:00 – Dawn Joy, with Thor Performance Products, Inc.: “Sports Floor Construction”.
2:00 – Sherry Hartel, with International Masonry Institute: “New Ideas in Masonry”
3:00 – Melanie Stachowiak, P.E., LEED AP BD+C, CMVP, with M/E Engineering: “Energy Modeling Overview” is a presentation on the use and benefits of energy modeling and how modeling may assist with holistic sustainable design. Various energy conservation measures, methods of modeling, and life cycle cost analysis for master energy plans will be discussed.
