Learn the basic principles and best practices of Passive House construction in this one-hour introductory course. The Passive House Construction Primer is a slightly more technical version of our original Primer, and is ideal for contractors, tradespeople, and anyone else interested in gaining an overview of high-performance construction strategies.

This course provides an overview of the following principles of Passive House design and construction, and offers tips for their successful implementation:

  • Airtight Construction

  • Continuous Insulation

  • Thermal Bridge-Free Construction

  • High-Performance Windows & Doors

  • Energy Recovery Ventilation
