What’s New in the 2020 NYC Energy Code is a free 90-minute online class designed to cover the major updates in the 2020 NYCECC and how it relates to NYC’s Local Law 97. This class is recommended for a range of design and building professionals, from principals to expediters. By the end of this course, participants will: Identify specific provisions that need attention to due to increased stringency; Recognize the changes in the 2020 NYCECC that will have a substantial effect on how buildings are designed and constructed; Understand the relationship between the 2020 NYCECC and the carbon cap for building energy required under NYC LL97; Understand the rationale behind the eventual transition from energy to carbon regulation.
