The new AIA “Framework for Design Excellence” is a resource comprised of 10 measures that support inspiring sustainable, resilient, and inclusive design. It provides best practices, high impact strategies, resources, and case studies for each measure: Integration, Equitable Communities, Ecology, Water, Economy, Energy, Wellness, Resources, Change, and Discovery. This presentation will provide attendees the relevant background of the Framework, introduce each of the 10 measures with a “deeper dive” into select topics, and a look at how the Framework is central to the evolution of the AIA’s Design Awards.
