Fire Protection Applications for Wood I-joist
All Architects and Builders are welcome to attend.
The 2016 Code will require fire protection of I-joist on new residential homes that have a building permit application on or after October 3rd. Eight different fire-rated assemblies will be explained to help you decide which assembly will work best for your clients and provide the most value to the home.

The difference between fire-resistive and fire-rated assemblies.
The facts about engineered wood products and their fire performance.
Explanation of 8 different Fire-rated assemblies with wood I-joists.
Exception methods to comply with Section R501.3 of the 2012 IRC® and Section R302.13 of the 2015 IRC®.
