The Buffalo Architecture Foundation will celebrate its students’ work from the 2019-2020 Architecture + Education Program through a public exhibit.

The Architecture + Education Program uses architecture concepts to teach students in the Buffalo Public Schools math, science, history, art, and technology within Common Core Curriculum, while raising awareness and appreciation of the built environment.  Local architects and designers paired with university students and public school teachers have been working hard with students the past four months.

This year’s participants include over 240 students from PS #32 Bennett Park Montessori, PS 37 Futures Prep, PS 50 North Park Community, PS 92 B.U.I.L.D. Community, PS #212 Leonardo da Vinci High School, University at Buffalo School of Architecture and Planning Students, and volunteer professionals from 12 of Buffalo’s architecture design firms.

The exhibit kicks off March 6 at 5:00 pm, with opening remarks at 5:45. The exhibit will remain open to the public at select times through March 15. For more information on the Arch + Ed program and exhibit, please visit https://buffaloarchitecture.org/programs/architecture-education.
